Using video to build dynamics.

YouTube

Once you’ve perfected the basics of your social media strategy, it’s time to start thinking about upping the ante and making your social media sites even more dynamic!

Video is a great jumping off point; it allows you to get more personal with your customer while providing a visual way to present valuable information. Video allows you to provide customers with another way to experience your dealership, your sales people/employees and your products.  It allows your customers to connect with you online before they step foot into your showroom.

Adding video to your repertoire of social media strategy’s isn’t only a way to increase customer connection but also a way to improve your Internet search results. There is a great article about that here.

Here are few ways to integrate video into your social media campaigns:

1. Dealership Tour. Add tours of your dealership, let them meet your staff and give them a view into your showroom.

2. Product Demos. Get excited about your products and show your customers exactly what you have to offer. Demo new product features or tour the new lightweight model you just got in.

3. Tips or How-To. Use videos to show your customers the simple tricks that make RVing great. You could also post simple how-to videos featuring “how-to” do a variety of daily RV tasks.

4. Get Audience Participation. Encourage your customers, through discounts, coupons or contests to get involved. Have them post videos on your Facebook page of camping trips they’ve recently taken. Getting them involved is what social media is all about.

5. Use You-Tube. Make sure that all the videos you are posting to your site are also on You Tube. This makes them more accessible and can also rev up traffic to your site – over ½ of You Tube traffic these days is derived from people posting links and linking back to videos they found on You Tube. You do not want to miss the opportunity to increase your traffic with a simple step.

Make sure to link to your videos on Twitter and post them on Facebook.  You can build video into all of your online customer “touchpoints”!
