There’s one thing that is often overlooked when dealerships think about updating their social media accounts and that is employee appreciation. It never hurts to give kudos to your employees and it makes them feel special when you do it on a social forum, plus it shows your customers that you take pride in the people you employ!
It’s important that you keep your employees paid, but it’s also important to keep them happy. A happy employee will go the extra mile for you, knowing that you take care of them. By giving kudos to your employees and publicly recognizing them, you are accomplishing a lot of things. Among these things you will foster high performance, reinforce desired behavior, create a culture of recognition, improve morale and support your dealerships mission and values.
Here are a few thoughts on things you could recognize your employees for:
- Length of service
- Above and beyond performance
- Retirement
- Useful employee suggestions
- Employee of the year, month, etc.
Just as you can recognize your employees for their positive impact on your business you can have them help you too. If an employee find a positive review or posts something positive about your dealership, have them link it back to you. The more feedback and links the better!
