Facebook and other online social marketing sites are constantly improving, constantly changing, and constantly evolving to create a new, better, and more advanced versions of themselves. A very popular and recent change has come to Facebook and it’s partner sites. The new feature is the Facebook “Like” button. The new Facebook “Like” button was built to replace the original “Become a Fan” link. It looks like this:
You may have seen it popping up on some of your favorite sites, on the articles you read, or when you’re searching for somewhere to go for dinner on Yelp. Facebook created this button as a way to allow its user to easily make connections to sites and share content found off of Facebook with their friends on Facebook, with one click. Along with the “Like” button, Facebook offers a “Like” box that accomplishes the same thing with different looks and more information. You can access all of these buttons and boxes as well as how-to information for adding each button or box to your website, blog or other pages on the Facebook Developer’s Page.
In addition to the “Like” button on Facebook, you can also use a “Like” box which displays more information on your page:
Facebook “Like” buttons and boxes have the ability to give your fans, customers and potential customers a way to share your website or blog with their friends on Facebook. By utilizing this new option you’re giving your customers another way to build and share “word of mouth” advertising for your dealership. Depending on your social media program, the Facebook “Like” button could be a helpful addition to your overall online strategy.
The Facebook Developer’s page and the links to the “Like” buttons and boxes can be found here!
