Facebook offers so many tools it can be hard to stay on top all of them. To make it easier, we’ll be featuring a series of Facebook “How-to” posts over the next week that will delve deeper into your Facebook Business Page capabilities and help you involve and engage your fans/customers on a regular basis.
Up first, maximizing the ability to add links.
The first option available in your Facebook status bar is the link tab. The link button allows you to post links to articles, images you find on the web, your inventory, your website, or anything else you think your fans will enjoy. The link option is shown in the image below. You simply enter in the web page address (starting with http://) and any comments in the box above it.
This is what the link tab looks like, once you click on it, before you enter in any information:
Simply enter in the link address (again, starting with http://) and the commentary you would like to go with it (in the empty box above). Some links even allow you to “choose a thumbnail” image for your link.
Once you’ve filled in all the information on your link and hit the “share” button you’re link will appear on your Fan Page as well as show up in the News Feeds of your fans. It will look something like this:
