How many people know your dealership’s story? How many know how long you’ve been there? How many people know about what inspired your start? Probably not many. Not because it’s a bad story, not because people don’t care, but because you may not be telling it enough.
Social media can be the perfect forum to let your customers in, let them get to know you. The premise behind social media is to be engaging, honest, and to connect with your customers.
Why not use the opportunities that social media presents to really let your customer’s get to know you, your dealership, and your sales people. Make things personal. People want to buy from their friends, from the people they trust – people they connect with.
The key to making social media work is to make it you – to be honest and out there. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Each week share a little known fact about your RV dealership.
- Allow your employees to share things about themselves; this could be anything from interests, to favorite foods, to their favorite camping destination.
- Post photos from “back when”, when everything was just getting started. We have a feeling more than just your hairstyles have changed.
- Post of a series of “the rules we live by” and talk about your philosophy on business, travel, selling RVs, etc.
- Share testimonials, show just exactly what people love about your RV dealership.
